Out of Season Butterflies!




Right now it seems I have no desire to create anything snowy, blowy or chilly! I'm gravitating towards fluttery, springy, colorful and shiny! It's not that I don't like the winter! Truly! It's not that bad outside. I think I just OD'd on snow on trees. The cards I'm working on today have flowers....yup
On this photo you can easily see that the flowers are 3D and curved from the surface of the card. I hold the body of the butterfly with the thumb and forefinger of my left hand. Taking a round pen or pencil, I pull up the wing and round it up over the curve of the pencil. Do that to both sides and then glue down the body. This is not a good card for mailing!... you can see that one of the wings hangs over the side of the card and would not fit in an envelope!  The background has been embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.
